New Digha

This beach, lined with casuarina trees that are a feast for your eyes, extends for nearly one mile before it meets the sea. Take a stroll on the smooth and warm beach, drink some coconut water, or relax in the embrace of nature while taking in the breathtaking vistas around you.

Lively New Digha centers on its namesake beach, popular for sunset views and with shallow water safe for swimming. The Digha Science Centre features hands-on galleries, demonstrations, and an inflatable planetarium. Leafy Amarabati Park has a boating lake and a cable car, while Wonderland Kajal Dighi amusement park has a toy train ride. Hotels, souvenir shops, and simple curry restaurants dot the area.

Digha is a popular holiday destination in West Bengal. It has a beautiful beachside and is visited by more than 40 lakh vacationers in a year.

Marine Aquarium

MARC – Marine aquarium cum regional centre – is a major tourist attraction for all Digha visitors. It has the largest inbuilt aquarium in India. The aquarium has three kinds of creatures: species of conservative importance, ‘local and curious’ species and freshwater species.These species include sea anemones, lobsters, sharks, rays, butterfly fishes, sea snakes, horse shoe crabs and a bunch of other not-so-commonly-heard-of organisms.

New Digha Beach

Digha is a small beach town located in West Bengal. One of the most famous beaches in this city is the New Digha beach. Lying about 2 kilometers away from the Old Deegha beach, this destination is a man-made attraction. It’s preferred by tourists owing to its easier accessibility, larger expanse, and lesser crowd density.The soft sands of the New Digha beach make up for a lovely weekend getaway. Tucked away in southern West Bengal, this destination is a quaint holiday spot to spend time in the tranquil lap of nature. The Digha sea starts at about a mile away from the beach area, which is lined with casuarina trees as far as the eyes can see.

Udaipur Beach

The Udaipur beach in Digha is one of most pristine and exquisite sea beaches in India. This unexplored ‘virgin sea beach’ is located on the border of Orissa and is nestled between New Digha and Talsari. Though just 3 kilometres away from the Digha station, the beach seems to be miles away from it metaphorically. The lonely beach, far far away from the crowded and claustrophobic city life, is dotted with towering casuarina trees and the makeshift stalls of the fishermen who sell fish here. The place is especially famous for its scenic beauty, and people from all parts of the world visit the beach to capture these picturesque views in their sight forever.

Shankarpur Beach

One of the only tourist attractions of Shankarpur, the Shankarpur beach is breath taking, in every sense of the term. Clean water, white sand and mildly blowing winds make the Shankarpur beach, not just a great tourist attraction, but also one of the most sought after beaches on the entire Eastern Coast.

Talasari Beach

Located in Baleswar district of Odisha and at a distance of 10 Km from Digha, the Talasari beach is pristine, serene and has been bestowed with spectacular panorama.There are secret beaches, beaches which are beyond the reach of contamination, beaches that refresh our senses and Talasari is one such place. This virgin beach has sand dunes, calmer waves amid several palm trees, coconut trees, cashew trees known to be the last beach on the north eastern coast of India. 

Amarabati Park

Amidst the coastal beauty of the quaint town of Digha lies the Amarabati Park, a little natural wonderland for those looking to find some peace and quiet while admiring the lush greenery of a well-maintained park. Situated less than a kilometre away from the New Digha beach, the Amarabati park boasts of pristine lawns filled with a rich diversity of seasonal flowers delicately fringing the mini-lake situated in the centre of the park. A ropeway ride across the length of the park offers visitors a breathtaking view the New Digha region and the lovely park below.
